Hosting and security infrastructure may process basic request information such as an IP address, browser type, requested URL, and request time to deliver and protect the site.
Cookies and advertising
Starter Wiki does not use first-party advertising cookies and does not sell personal information. Essential infrastructure may use limited storage when required for security or reliable delivery.

Starter Lens Chrome extension
Starter Lens runs when you click its toolbar icon or context-menu action. It may use the active tab's URL, title, or the text you explicitly selected to identify a developer tool and show a related public Starter Wiki decision. This information is processed locally and is not transmitted to Starter Wiki. The extension does not collect browsing history, page contents, authentication information, personal communications, or form data.
Saved tools, Stack Tray selections, disclosure consent, and extension preferences are stored in Chrome local storage on your device. The extension contacts only starter.wiki to refresh its public decision catalog. Starter Wiki does not receive the active page URL, page title, selected text, or your saved-tool list during that refresh.
Starter Lens's use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information handled through Chrome permissions is used only to provide the extension's disclosed tool-identification and decision-support features; it is not sold, used for advertising, or transferred to third parties.
Changes
This notice may be updated as the site gains new features or its infrastructure changes. The effective date will be revised when material changes are published.
